Welcome to Bearsted & District u3a
The U3A movement is a unique and exciting organisation which provides, through individual U3As all around the country the opportunity for retired and semi-retired people to come together to socialise and learn together, not for qualifications, but for its own reward; the sheer joy of discovery. Live, Learn, Laugh!
MONTHLY MEETINGS
We meet at 2:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at Detling Village Hall, Pilgrim's Way, Detling, Kent, ME14 3EY. For information on how to get there and more details of the hall, please goto Detling Village Hall Visitors are always welcome and there is no charge for your first two visits.
We are a friendly organisation, welcoming individuals from Bearsted and surrounding areas. We held our first meeting in 2013 and this year have enrolled over 250 members.
We are a self-help community, where members share their knowledge, experience, skills and life experiences.
We all help with the activities and administration of our u3a with an annually elected committee overseeing our affairs.
SPEAKERS
We have excellent speakers each month. We have a full programme arranged for the coming year and you can find out what we have on offer by browsing our Programme Leaflet.
GROUPS
We have over 40 Special Interest Groups that you can find more about on the GROUPS Page. Whenever a group is full we start up a waiting list for another!
