What: Village Visits members decide upon a programme of visits to local villages to learn about their history including buildings of interest especially churches..
We try to include a morning coffee and toilet stop before we set off. We will often use the services of a local historian or guide whose local knowledge adds to the experience for which we will make a donation.
Some walking is necessary and details will be sent to all members beforehand.
Our visit is followed by lunch in a local pub or other eatery (optional)
We encourage members to take turns in organising the visits (usually in pairs) no more than once a year.
When: We meet on the 3rd Friday of the month in the morning.
