| Status: | Active, full but can join waiting list |
| When: | Monthly on Tuesdays 2nd Tuesday 10.00 to 11.30 |
| Venue: | Bearsted Library |

What: The group is for both beginners, who might need help getting started, and more experienced genealogists. It is an informal rather than taught group. On line resources are investigated and members share their genealogical problems, experiences and expertise. Basic computer knowledge is an advantage.
Exploring family history involves individual research so our monthly meetings are used to exchange ideas about areas of research. We can use personal experiences and collective expertise to make progress. It is also fascinating to find out what others have managed to unearth from their own research.
We use the library’s two computers to access subscription websites such as Ancestry and Find my Past. This has also proved useful for looking at the 1921 census.
This group is currently full, but there are spaces in Family History 2
