What: We are a  group of enthusiastic walkers whom over the last few years have successfully researched and led numerous interesting walks around London. 

London and the city of London is vast, and we still have huge areas to cover and learn about.  We concentrate on the non-tourist areas, inviting walkers to see favourite and not so well known areas through completely different eyes.  When someone says : "  well I didn't know this was here " its a real plus!.   We take it in turns to devise a walk and that generally works out to once per year.  There are lots of books on offer to help, plus the internet of course.  We have quite a few laughs and the group has a wonderful camaraderie.  

We travel by train from Bearsted and the neighbouring railway stations, to meet at a designated rendezvous at a certain time.  Always taking the 'cheap day return' train, and using a Senior Railcard, the destination could be anywhere in London. 

The group coordinators communicate via our Beacon secure email system for all relevant information.  

New members are always welcome, however we have a set total so the group does not get too big, so join the waiting list and we will be in touch.  Alternatively, there are spaces in London Walks Group 2
