What: Be part of a recorder ensemble, restore an old skill or learn a new one. All are welcome, including beginners. We have a lot of fun while learning a new skill.
Between us we play descant, Treble and Tenor recorders. We have been practicing many of the Playford dances which are 17th-18th century pieces along with tunes such as Rondo (Mozart), Beckett Blues (Pitts) and tunes such as An Eriskay Love Lilt which is a Hebridean Folk Song, American Patrol and Yellow Bird (Calypso). As you can see quite a varied repertoire!
If you would like to come along and hear us play, would be more than welcome.
The group is currently full, but please join our waiting list & we will contact you as soon as space becomes available. If there is sufficient interest, we would be happy to help set up a 2nd group. Alternatively, our Making Music together group also welcomes Recorder players.
